The MALUMI A lamp is a distinct combination of functional art and 1980s aesthetics. Its name, inspired by the word "malumi" meaning sailor in Tamil, refers to travel and the discovery of new forms. The lamp's design draws from the Memphis movement, characterised by bold colours and geometric shapes, while maintaining modernist simplicity.
Its form - based on a flat-oval shade - is a conscious reference to modernism, in which the simplicity of geometry was meant to express modernity and order.
The colour, shape and balanced proportions make it an almost sculptural object - more like a contemporary light installation than a classic fixture.
In the spirit of Memphis aesthetics, MALUMI A combines geometry with expression, but does so with control and a sense of proportion. Lamp components and functionality The body of the lamp is made of powder-coated aluminium, whose deep matte shade enhances the expressiveness of form and colour. Thanks to the material used, it is lightweight, despite its considerable dimensions.
It can be found in colours: white RAL 9003, black RAL 9005, red-orange RAL 2002, navy blue RAL 5003, olive RAL 6013.
The whole creates a compact, unified light object, in which the light source has been integrated at the factory - this means that it does not require a separate bulb or replacement.
The integrated LED module is designed to emit light evenly and softly, with high energy efficiency and longevity. As a result, MALUMI A provides consistent, well-distributed luminance, without the need for additional adjustment or user intervention.
Its horizontal form and proportions make it perfect over a kitchen island, bar or table, bringing not only light, but also character to the space. Our returns policy lasts for 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase has been delivered, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
Goods / Returns must be received to Dyke & Dean within 14 days of being delivered to you. If Goods / Returns are received after this we will not issue a refund. Notification to our office of your return via telephone, email, fax and or letter within 14 days does not mean a refund will be given. A refund will only be reviewed if the Goods / Returns are received within 14 days to our possession.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Customers are responsible for the delivery costs of returning the goods.
